Mr. William “Bill” Anthony Paulauskas, 94, of Westford, MA for almost 50 years, died peacefully Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  He was married for over 62 years to the love of his life, Mrs. Margaret Anne Paulauskas, who recently predeceased him on December 30, 2016.

Born in Shrewsbury, MA on August 18, 1922, Bill was the son of the late Anthony and Sophie (Bernatus) Paulauskas.  He was a graduate of Worcester Trade School in Worcester, MA in 1939, and DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago, IL in 1952.

Bill was employed as an electrical engineer for many years with Seeburg Corporation in Chicago, IL, and for more than 20 years at Honeywell Corporation in its Lexington and Brighton, MA locations.

An avid fisherman and hunter, Bill particularly enjoyed salt water fishing at Plum Island in Newburyport, MA.  He loved his time outdoors at the beach, on the water and in the woods.

Bill was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford, MA.

Bill is survived by two daughters and four sons: Kathleen L. Boisvert and her husband Lee of Spring Hill, FL; Randall G. Paulauskas of Austin, TX; Roger W. Paulauskas of Westford, MA; Lisa M. Kyle and her husband Michael of Hudson, FL; Richard A. Paulauskas of Tyngsborough, MA; and Ronald L. Paulauskas and his wife Beth of Westford, MA.  He is also survived by his two brothers: Anthony Paulauskas and Albert Paulauskas, both of Webster, MA, and by twelve cherished grandchildren: Lisa Ann; Christopher; Lauren; Kate; Amy; Kara; Emma; Michael; Joseph; Mallory; Daniel and Abigail; and two great granddaughters: Jordan and Mackenzie.  He is also survived by several close friends.  He was the brother of the late Sophie Paulauskas, Amelia Deknis, Rita Raines and Aldona Obraitas, all of Worcester, MA.

Bill’s & Margaret’s family would especially like to thank all of the staff at Lowell General Hospital for their care and kindness over the past months.

Rich… So very sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. Reading through his obit he sounds like a terrific guy and he was, in good standing I am sure, a member of the greatest generation. I also notice you recently lost your mom, so a very tough time for you and your family. You can take solace in the fact that you had them both a long time. My thoughts are with you, honor their memory, as I am sure you will do.

    Sincerely
    Rich

Bill never bragged about anything. His whole life revolved around his family. He seldom talked about his military but when he did, he talked about the other men he met there. He was a great friend to me and helped me through some of my pitfalls in life.
If I had the magic to bring him back, how could I as his friend, for he had made up his mind to be with his best friend, and the love of his life, Margret.
All of us whom read this, will some day pass on like Bill, but some might not be so lucky. Don’t feel sorry for Bill, but wish him well on his glorious new journey.
