William “Bill” J. Aubut, 86, of Townsend, died Monday, April 11, 2022, at Fitchburg Gardens in Fitchburg, MA. He was married to the late Gillian Aubut, who died on November 18, 2012. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late William and Grace (Mclaughlin) Aubut. He graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School with the class of 1952, and UMass Lowell with an Associate Degree. He ran a press at a printing company in Westford for 15 years after he graduated. He was the owner of Aubut Electric in Westford for over 40 years.
Bill was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Church, Westford. He was a longtime member of Nabnasset Lake Country Club, when he scored “A hole in one” on the second hole. He enjoyed spending time with his family, including both his children and grandchildren. He also greatly enjoyed Sunday dinners and many holiday dinners with his niece Kathleen and her family. He was a friend of Bill W. for 44 years and both by his personal efforts and power of example, he helped thousands of men and women get sober. His efforts helped many to contribute positively to the quality of life at home, at work, and in their community.
He is survived by his son, E. Mark Miner and his wife, Pauline of Derry, NH; his son Michael Miner of North Chelmsford, MA; his son Matthew Miner and wife Kim of Gardner, MA; his daughter Janet Holt and her husband Mark of Durand, WI; and, his daughter, Michelle Dold and her husband Francis of Townsend, MA. In addition, he is survived by his sisters, Patricia Francioso of Stoughton, MA, Kathleen “Chickie” Sepeck of East Weymouth, MA, and Diane Nista and husband Paul of Maine; as well as, many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Denise Sarsfield, the brother of the late Edward “Mickey” Aubut, the late Marie Forgione, and the late Barbara Kilroy, as well as the great grandfather of the late Liam Lane.

CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Blessed Trinity Parish, formerly known as St. Catherine’s Church, 107 North Main Street, Westford, MA. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, 96 Riverneck Road Chelmsford, MA.
