I will miss you very much. For many years you were a part of my life and we were friends. Life for me will not be the same now but, I know you are in the care of God and that we will meet again in heaven someday. May the family find comfort in knowing that you were loved by so many.

    • Gail says:

She enjoyed those “days of young,” when all us kids were playing together, and the many phone conversations between you and she in our adult years.

  3. Marci says:

Smaldone family, I am heartbroken for your loss. Sylvia is in every childhood memory I have! The pool, the sauce, the advice and extra mothering, because that’s how she was. Sylvia was truly an amazing woman who loved and cared for her family and others. She will be missed.

    • Gail says:

Marci, our sentiments exactly. She loved all of you as if you were her own. So many years of our lives are connected with each other, and the memories, everlasting.

Bunny I am so sorry that you lost your soulmate. I know how much she meant to you after 67 Years of marriage you become one and to lose that half of you is extremely difficult to accept. I know what it is to lose you partner. It takes time to heal but remember all of the good years you spent together and maybe the good times will ease the pain. I will keep you in my prayers. Lots of love cousin Lolly

    • Gail says:

Thank you, Cindy, Scott and Lauren. My mother loved all of you so very much. We had a great 10 years of being across the street from each other. I don’t think you’ll ever come across another italian neighbor with all kinds of “carbohydrates,” on tap for tea time, etc, as you have in my mother.

  9. Diane Dormitzer says:

We are so sorry for your loss. Prayers to your family and to Mom in heaven. Diane and Peter Dormitzer
