Virginia S. (Gorgone) Hodgson of N. Chelmsford, MA


5769 HodgsonVirginia S. (Gorgone) Hodgson, 86, of N. Chelmsford died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital.

She was married to the late Edwin R. Hodgson, who died on October 6, 1995.

Born in Newton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Coretta Gorgone.

Virginia in her early years was employed with the Raytheon Corporation of Waltham.

Virginia was a devoted and caring mother and wife.

Virginia thoroughly enjoyed bowling. She bowled in the leagues for St. John the Evangelist Church, the Friday Night Owls in Nashua and the Friday Night Interstate League. She was an Avon representative for 40 years.

She is survived a son, Alan and his wife Luana Hodgson of N. Chelmsford; two daughters, Ann and her husband, Brian Jackson of Nashua, NH; Carol and her husband, Vincent Archambault of Nashua, NH; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours Sun. 1 to 5 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held Mon. at 10am at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, MA. Burial will be in the West Chelmsford Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to the Chelmsford Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels Program, 75 Groton Rd. N. Chelmsford, MA 01863.
